No card is connected yet, so misses are recorded but nobody is charged. This policy applies once card payments start.
When a stake is charged
- Only commitments with money on the line are ever charged.
- A stake is charged for a miss only after the dispute window (24 hours after the deadline, or 48 hours for commitments signed before 10 October 2026) closes without an accepted appeal.
- Nothing is charged while an appeal, a partner’s answer or a review is waiting.
- You pay the amount and currency in your signed contract, never more. Your bank may add its own fee for converting currency.
- Each miss is charged once. Our system checks that a miss can never be charged twice.
Before a charge: appeal
If you think a miss is wrong, appeal from the commitment’s page within 24 hours of the deadline (48 hours for commitments signed before 10 October 2026). How it’s decided depends on the appeal level you signed with (see Terms of use).
Refunds of stakes
We refund a stake in full if:
- Skipless was down, or a check-in or link didn’t work, when you tried to check in before the deadline
- we charged the wrong amount, or charged the same miss twice
- we charged while an appeal or a partner’s answer was waiting, or after an appeal was accepted
- anything else went wrong on our side
A miss that stands because the check-in didn’t happen isn’t refunded: that’s the commitment you signed. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law still apply.
Hardship. If a charge has left you in financial difficulty, contact us. We look at each case and can refund a charge or pause charges.
Ask for a refund at Help in the app within 30 days of the charge. We reply within 5 business days. Refunds go back to the card you paid with and usually show within 5 to 10 business days.
Plans: cancelling and refunds
- Cancel a Monthly or Yearly plan at any time in Settings, under Plan and payments. It keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, then doesn’t renew.
- Changed your mind? Ask within 14 days of paying for a Yearly or Lifetime plan and we’ll refund it in full.
- After that, we don’t refund part-used months or years, unless the law requires it or Skipless didn’t work as promised.
- If we ever close Skipless, we refund the unused part of any Monthly or Yearly plan.
- Cancelling a plan doesn’t end commitments you’ve signed, and doesn’t refund stakes.
